HR Recruiter is the employee responsible for the relationships with recruitment agencies. The recruitment agencies are like women you want to make them love you. HR Recruiter must press the agencies to lower the margins and the HR Recruiter must keep the recruitment agencies to deliver the best candidates to the company.
It is not the easy task. The role of HR Recruiter is to keep the agencies happy with the budget offered for their services and he/she must keep the business happy with the decreasing amount per hire with the recruitment agencies.
Most businesses monitor carefully the cost of the recruitment. The costs for the recruitment are usually seen as the costs, which can be easily cut. As the business believes, the candidates will continuously flow in the organization. But generally, most really good candidates are not directly hitting the companies. They have a contact in the recruitment agency and they are sold on the market as “quality guaranteed”.
The HR Recruiter is the employee to keep healthy balance between recruitment agencies and the organization. Both recruitment agencies and business want the same goal - to get the candidate working quickly. Their motivations are different, but they share the same goal. This is a good point for the HR Recruiter to play with.
